Page 3 & 4 are the topic of interest- Here we would like you to learn more about a specific area and either read the section in your resource guide or find additional research information. Then write a summary of at least 2-3 paragraphs minimum. 

Pages 5-10 Hog Activities- Here you need to do at least 5 activities and they are divided into age groups so find the pages that go with your age group and fill them out. We do ask that you either attach a notecard with a short description of what you did to achieve the activity or a sheet of paper attached with descriptions of what you did for each activity. If you happen to have pictures of you while you were doing the activity you can include those too. (Hint: the activity sheets sent out in March and April will help cover these activities)

pg 11 Learning Experiences

Each 4-H’er needs to have 2 learning experiences. There are some samples listed- but we tend to think of these as times that you went somewhere rather than an activity. This might include selecting your animal or if you did any of the hog trainings online this year those will also count. Please write a summary about each experience and attach to the page.

pg 12-13 Leadership activities

These you need to mark and date when you did them, but we do not require that you give us a summary.

page 15-30 is the quality assurance sections- these are mostly optional but as leaders we have a couple pages that we require.

pg 16-17 photos of animal- required

pg 27 youth and parent agreement- required

Then in the records section the following pages are required pg 32, 35,36,37,38, 39, 41(please chart at least 1 animal and only 1 animal per chart),

And we will need a project story, just like is needed for ALL projects. This can be telling us about the day you brought your pigs home or the day they got out. It can be anything that has happened with your pig.
