No 4-H Livestock at the round up

Good Morning 4-H'ers and families
Last night at the Livestock Leaders meeting, it was voted that this year's Venango County Round-up would move forward WITHOUT a 4-H Livestock presents. This decision was not made easily for the leadership and it was felt that this was the best way to still be able to give the youth an opportunity to show their animals and sell their animals.

SO what does this mean? This means that the Round Up is offering open classes and youth classes(that will look just like the 4-H livestock classes) but they are NOT using the 4-H emblem, not using the 4-H name and will not have a 4-H auction.

At this point in time,
There will be youth classes including showmanship for livestock.
There will be a Jr Livestock Auction where youth from the county will be able to sell their animals.
There will be insurance coverage while on the fairgrounds
There will be rules (similar to the 4-H rules) coming out soon
There will be an opportunity to show your animal.
You will still need to register on www.venangofair.fairentry.com and instead of 4-H classes look for Youth classes.
BUT NOTHING IS PROMISED- if the state continues to increase in cases the whole Roundup could still potentially be cancelled but they are doing everything humanly possible to have an event.

One thing I can guarantee is that this Roundup will be different than any others.

You are in no way required to attend or show at the Roundup. This will be totally up to you and your family. CDC recommendations will be in effect while the fairboard directors are working diligently to follow the disinfecting and safety protocols.

In order to complete your 4-H project, you will need to turn in your completed, to the best of your ability, project book on July 16th for judging. More details on how this will happen will be coming. 4-H is working on if there will be additional requirements for completion, but showing is not part of that requirement. If you are considering Farm Show 2021(which currently is still scheduled) you NEED to make sure that your books are turned in on time for project completion. This is a requirement for Farm Show.
